İlerleyen süreçte hayata geçireceğimiz barış programlarına, eğitimlere ve diyalog buluşmalarına dair tüm detayları bu alandan takip edebilirsiniz.
Scheduled for November 10–11 and November 26, this initiative is part of the Peace Programs conducted under the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality (DBB). These programs are based on a holistic approach centered on building societal peace, advocating local justice, transforming conflicts, developing an inclusive urban identity, and strengthening a shared memory. In this context, the "Memory Walk in Sur: Training of Trainers Program"—realized through a collaboration between the DBB and the Truth, Justice, and Memory Center—approaches urban space as an integral component of social memory and peacebuilding.
The primary objective of the program is to highlight—through a peace-oriented lens—the multicultural heritage of Sur (one of Diyarbakır’s historical, cultural, and social hubs), the urban and spatial transformations it has undergone, and the layers of social memory from various historical periods. The training aims to equip participants with the skills to plan independent memory walks, act as narrators, and serve as peace facilitators when engaging with diverse social segments, youth groups, and civil society stakeholders in the future.
The program is designed for practitioners who will play an active role in promoting a culture of peace at the local level and preserving the city’s collective memory. While the initial training will be provided to staff from relevant departments within the DBB, the program will also be extended throughout 2027 to include various other groups, as well as employees and representatives of civil society organizations. Announcements regarding these opportunities will be shared via the Societal Peace and Freedom Forum’s website and social media accounts.
