Ecological Panarchy and Community Organising

Ecological Panarchy and Community Organising
Workshops

About Event

This workshop offers an experiential exploration of how Nature’s governance—Ecological Panarchy—can inform the growth and development of human ecosystems, helping communities understand how natural cycles mirror human dynamics and how these insights can strengthen organising strategies, foresight, resilience, and collective harmony. Grounded in a theoretical model that links ecological principles to social freedom and peace, the workshop creates a space for democratic dialogue by emphasising that, just as all organisms in nature are interdependent and in constant communication, human communities also thrive when each member’s contribution is recognised as essential to the ecosystem. The core idea is to promote the understanding that peace and freedom are sustained by embracing our nature as living beings whose participation, contribution, and reciprocity are vital for any ecosystem—biological or social—to flourish. Participants can expect to develop an understanding of how individuals and communities can rediscover their natural cycles, sense of belonging, and responsibility; gain insight into the circular and non‑linear aspects of community life; adopt community‑management strategies grounded in ecological panarchy; and acquire a practical tool for strategic foresight in community growth.

The workshop is organized by Rescogita OU - Green Educational Enterprise from Estonia trainers, Lorenzo Nava and Johana Pytlickova.
