THIS EVENT IS COMPLETED
This workshop, designed by Anadolu Kültür, is inspired by the UMUT project, a collaboration with Germany, which Anadolu Kültür conducted between 2024 and 2025 in Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Maraş following the earthquakes and the resulting losses and difficult experiences. As part of this project, a group of volunteers – including pedagogues, artists, psychologists, and music therapists living in these provinces – came together to work with children and young people using modular methods to explore themes of hope and peace. We will prepare for the workshop by meeting online with musicians from Germany and the UK, with whom we collaborated on the UMUT project. In this workshop, where we will experiment with new instruments with children and young people, we aim to connect children with peace and hope through daily music, spreading music everywhere by presenting multilingual songs.
Important note: This two-day workshop will be held on May 12th at the Rengarenk Umutlar Derneği (opposite Cemil Pasha Mansion) and on May 13th at the Sur Gençlik ve Sanat Merkezi.
Language: Kurdish and Turkish
Participation: The workshop will be held on May 12th for groups aged 9-12 and on May 13th for groups aged 14 and over. This workshop, which will be conducted with two groups pre-selected by Anadolu Kültür, will not be open for registration.
