Organized by Şîlan Mızrak and Rûşen Tayfun on behalf of the Chamber of Architects Diyarbakır Branch, this study titled “Peace with the City: Space, Memory, and Public Rights” aims to open the construction of social peace to debate through the axis of spatial justice. In the first part of the two-session program, a theoretical and critical framework will be established regarding urban inequalities, collective memory, and public rights with the participation of Bêrîvan Güneş and Ferit Kahraman. In the second, practice-oriented section, participants will analyze the city's 'conflict' and 'reconciliation' zones through interactive mapping techniques and develop peace-oriented spatial strategies. The workshop process will culminate in the collective drafting of the “Manifesto of Principles for Peace with the City.” The workshop is open to all architects, stakeholders, experts, and activists who wish to develop an interdisciplinary perspective on urban space.
