The search for peace in the Middle East is shaped not only by current political developments but also by the intersection of historical memories, social identities, and regional power balances. So, how can peace be imagined and how can we build it within this multi-layered and multi-actor context? What consequences do the tensions between international interventions and the initiatives of local and regional actors produce in terms of social peace and freedom? This panel invites us all to rethink the possibilities and limits of peace by discussing the historical ruptures of the Middle East, current political dynamics, and future perspectives on peace within a comprehensive framework.
