Hediye Yûsif, a member of the PYD Co-Chairmanship Council, served as Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria between 2016 and 2018. She is one of the most important political actors in the institutionalization of the Autonomous Administrations. Yusif also actively works in community organizing and in the struggle to preserve the multi-ethnic and multi-religious foundation of the autonomous region and Syria, as well as in the struggle of the women's liberation movement.
